Nomination Requirement

The student (nominee) is required to be nominated.

A nominator can be a teacher or principal, a regional science and technology fair judge; or any other representative from a national science, technology or engineering programme. e.g.  Pūhoro Academy.

 

Nominator Instructions:

The nominator must complete the following steps before the nominee (student) can register into the portal.

  1. Register in the portal and log in.
  2. Everyone who registers in the portal is required to make a profile. This will include answering some compulsory questions. Some of the questions are optional and if the nominator does not wish to answer them then click on ‘next’.
  3. Click on the Space Prize for Student Endeavour.
  4. The nominator can either download the nomination form from the portal or work on while in the portal.
  5. Complete nomination form and submit.

 

Nominee (student) instructions:

  • The nominee will receive an automated email providing a unique link for them to register in the portal
  • The nominee will need to log into the portal and make a profile (this includes answering some questions, some being compulsory and others optional)
  • Upload a CV  (maximum 2 pages) when prompted.
  • The nominee form can be downloaded from the portal.
  • Complete nominee  form and upload to the portal and press submit.  Please note the nominee template also gives the nominee the opportunity to provide up to 10 pages of evidence which should support their application.

Important

The nominee will not be able to submit their application if any of the steps below are incomplete:

  • CV not uploaded
  • Nominee form not uploaded
  • Incomplete ethics statement.  The portal will ask the nominee if their research has met ethic standards.  If it has then say ‘yes’ or if it is not applicable say ‘N/A.
  • Terms & Conditions are required to be agreed to.
