Opening and Closing Dates

The prize is open for applications between the following dates:

Opens:  8 July 2024
Closes: 3.00pm 30 September 2024

Nomination Requirement

To apply for this prize, students must be nominated.

A nominator can be a school teacher or principal, a judge from a regional science and technology fair; or any other representative from a national science, technology or engineering programme. e.g. Brightsparks or Pūhoro Academy.

 

Nominator Instructions:

  • the nominator can download the nominator form (below) at any stage and work on this in their own time
  • the nominator will need to log into the portal and make a profile
  • the nominator will be prompted by the portal to upload a CV (maximum of 3 pages)
  • when the nominator form is complete, upload it to the portal as a PDF.

Please note that until the nominator has completed all the steps above, the student applicant will not be able to log into the portal.

 

Applicant Instructions:

  • the student applicant can download the application form (below) at any stage and work on this in their own time.
  • the applicant will receive an automated email inviting them to apply with a link to the portal
  • the applicant will need to log into the portal and make a profile (portal guidelines are below)
  • the portal will prompt the applicant to upload a CV (maximum of 3 pages)
  • the portal will prompt the applicant to upload a Photo ID
  • when the application form is complete, upload to the portal as a PDF.

Important Note:

The applicant will not be able to submit their application if any of the steps below are incomplete:

  • outstanding CVs (upload).
  • outstanding application form (upload).
  • incomplete ethics statement (portal form)
  • terms and conditions have not been agreed to (portal form).
